“Certainly one of the most famous rock band of all world. They adopted as genre Rock, hard rock, pop and art rock.”

They are an English rock band formed in 1964.

In 1990 they were included on “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame”. They were described as "Prime contenders, in the minds of many, for the title of World's Greatest Rock Band." Only other two important bands(Beatles and Rolling Stones) had been treated so well as they were.

Influence
- They brought hard rock style to England from Led Zeppelin and The Clash.
- Britpop wave in the mid-1990s, can be considered inspired by The Who. For example, Blur, Oasis and Ash.
- Due to their loud, aggressive approach to rock and the snotty attitude evinced in songs like "My Generation" , have been called “The Godfathers of Punk” . Influenced bands:The Stooges, MC5, Ramones, Sex Pistols, The Clash, Green Day, and many other punk rock.
Awards
How I said The Who were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.
UK Music Hall of Fame in 2005 and won the first annual Freddie Mercury Lifetime Achievement in Live Music Award in 2006. They received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the British Phonographic Industry in 1988 and from the Grammy Foundation in 2001. I have to refer that Tommy was included into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1998, "My Generation" in 1999 and Who's Next in 2007.
Townshend and Daltrey received Kennedy Center Honors at the 31st annual awards ceremony on 7 December 2008. The Kennedy Center Honors are America's highest cultural honour. The Who are currently the only rock band to have received this award.

The Doors (Jim Morrison)

One of the most famous American rock band which was formed in 1965 (in Los Angeles, California).

Former Members:
Jim Morrison – vocalist
Ray Manzarek – keyboardist
John Densmore – drummer
Robby Krieger – guitarist

The main reason to succeed was a Morrison’s mysterious lyrics. In addiction to this reason we have to admit that unpredictable behavior of Morrison had also influenced.
As Morrison’s lyrics his death was mysterious too. Nobody knows the death cause but the most accepted version was when Jim and Pam were to their favorite night club, the famous “Rock ‘n’ Roll Circus”. There Pam had ordered pure heroin form from Vietnam. They consume that, but Morrison felt really bad and died of overdose. Morrison died at age 27, the same age as several other famous rock stars. So he was included as member of 27 club (Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Brian Jones of The Rolling Stones, Ron "Pigpen" McKernan, Pete Ham of Badfinger and Kurt Cobain of Nirvana were also included there). Pamela Courson died at the same age.
The last public performance was on 8th December 1970, his 27th birthday when Morrison recorded another poetry session. The tour that they were doing was in order to promote their upcoming album “L.A. Woman”.
More about Morrison
Following the recording of L.A. Woman(In April, 1971), Morrison decided to take some time off and moved to Paris with Pamela Courson. He had already visited the city the summer before and seemed interested in moving there to become a writer in exile.
But while he was in Paris, he was again drinking heavily. On June 16, the last known recording of Morrison was made when he befriended two street musicians at a bar and invited them to a studio. That recording was finally released in 1994 on a bootleg CD entitled The Lost Paris Tapes.
